Overview

Cebu Lechon House & New Chinese Kitchen, nestled in the heart of Woodridge, Illinois, offers a rare culinary blend that celebrates both Filipino and Chinese traditions. This hidden gem at 1999 75th St delivers a dining experience that feels both authentic and welcoming, with an intimate setting that invites you to savor every bite without distractions.

The restaurant’s true highlight is its signature Crispy Pata—a pork leg cooked slowly to perfection, boasting a crackling crisp skin paired with tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat. It exemplifies the delicate balance of texture and flavor that defines Cebuano cuisine. The fusion continues with the Singapore Chow Mai Tray, where classic Chinese stir-fry techniques meet Filipino-savored sauces, creating a hearty dish that satisfies deeply.

Appetizers such as the Shanghai Spring Rolls and Siomai pay homage to the Filipino-Chinese heritage, offering savory, well-seasoned bites that pair beautifully with their homemade chili garlic sauces. Meanwhile, the BBQ pork belly and Aristocrat Chicken are standout mains, the latter praised for its moist, juicy meat infused with a memorable sweet-salty glaze. These dishes echo the rich, home-style flavors the community craves.

Dessert lovers should not miss the Cassava Cake—a traditional Filipino treat that finishes the meal on a comforting, slightly sweet note. The casual, modest space reflects a neighborhood eatery designed for small groups or family gatherings, with a focus on genuine hospitality. Owner Ryan enhances the experience by sharing insights about the dishes and often providing thoughtful recommendations or samples, elevating the connection between kitchen and table.

Whether catering a celebratory event or stopping by for a cozy dinner, Cebu Lechon House appeals to those seeking heartfelt Filipino-Chinese flavors made with care. Its location in a shared parking lot near Arby’s might be easy to overlook, but the warm service and rich, bold dishes make it worth the intentional visit. This is a place where food doesn’t just fill you up—it invites you to experience a taste of home and tradition fused with a modern twist.

I catered from Cebu Lechon House for my baby shower! We expected around 55 people, and when I ordered they were so kind on the phone to recommend more food and how to serve appetizers so it can feed more people. It was a great value and they even delivered which made the baby shower much easier to plan! They delivered! And our guests enjoyed the food! The lumpia Shanghai was a hit and the potstickers! I highly recommend catering for big family events at Cebu Lechon House!

We came here specifically to try the Filipino food because the Chinese food you can get anywhere. When looking for this place, look for New Chinese Kitchen otherwise you’ll miss it. It’s across the street from Arby’s in a small strip mall. You’ll definitely have to make a U-Turn because getting into the lot is weird. Plenty of parking since it is a shared lot. We decided to do two combo meals plus the aristocrat chicken. When dining in, there are about 4 tables so it can be limited if there is a rush hour. The owner was very pleasant and he explained about the items before we looked at the menu. Lumpia was crispy and tasty. Garlic rice was a little oily but still good. Overall, it’s about a 4. I would have given them a 5 but that rock hard crispy kare kare is hard to forget. However, I’ll return to try other items. -crispy kare kare with garlic rice and lumpia 3 - I wanted to like this but the crispy kare kare was a huge let down. It was very tough to eat. I’ve had Filipino food many times and it was never this hard. It’s a shame because the peanut sauce with the veggies and eggplant were delicious. -bbq pork belly (liempo) with garlic rice and lumpia 5 - I really liked the BBQ pork belly. Very easy to cut with a spoon. Meat was well seasoned. It is fatty, so it’s best to eat it with rice. -aristocrat chicken 5 - highly recommended. Chicken is extremely flavorful even for leftovers. Meat is very moist and juicy. Nice balance of sweet and salty. I should have gotten the 10 pieces.

They were so nice to us about ordering food and helping us "feel like home" with the fillipino food. We got the lechon which was so so crispy and perfect balance of meat and fat on a bed of chiccarons. We also got the Manila chicken which was so worth it and the Sisig with jalepenos. The owner was so nice, he gave us the beef stew special on Saturdays too. It was all so delicious and made us feel so happy.

We came in late at night and saw this Philippine restaurant. The owner Ryan is very friendly, he helped us with the order and even gave us a sample of lechon as they sell the fresh lechon on Saturdays. We will be back for Lechon for sure and the soup that Ryan recommended. My husband ordered the beef kare kare and I ordered the sisig. First of all, the food portion is huge, we got the combo meals which include fried rice, one protein and two egg rolls. The kare kare is made with eggplant and peanut sauce, very flavorful. And the sisig is chewy and bit sour, which is perfect for me. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back.
